The BWLA Association holds two annual meetings for its membership, one at the beginning of the summer and one at the end of the summer. The dates of these meetings are posted on the Annual Calendar on the website and in the Association Directory.
The BWLA Board reports to the membership on a variety of issues including, but not limited to, the budget and expenditures of the Association monies, the Pierson Township Weed Control Fund, short reports from the various committees that host activities and committees that address issues related to the sewer, road maintenance, lake ecology, trash pick-up, neighborhood watch, the Directory and the website. Often there are guest speakers from the Professional Lake Management company or Pierson Township.
Prior to the meeting there is an optional half hour of social time to get reacquainted with lake friends and neighbors and meet new members. The meeting lasts about one hour. All members are encouraged to attend to be apprised of current events affecting the lake community. This is an excellent opportunity to ask questions and give constructive suggestions and feedback to the Board members.
