Major Focus: Water.
Dan Buyze reported that Republic Services will not accept any more waste from Wolverine World Wide (WWW). Next we would like support from DEQ to provide proof of test well results in order to determine if “plume” may have impacted underground water west of 131. Two wells currently exist on Dryers property – can Republic or DEQ provide proof that any recent testing done and share the results?
Dave Cornelius provide an in-depth report on the detection monitoring wells and compliance wells that Republic has placed plus the remediation plan and a brief history of limited testing
It was discussed that we need to demand additional testing from DEQ West of 131.
Dan will draft a letter to his contacts at the DEQ on what we are doing moving forward.
Motion to adjourn: 8:04 p.m.
