Wildlife of Big Whitefish Lake

Whether it’s the early morning sound of the loon echoing over the lake, the majestic spread of the eagle’s wings soaring overhead, the fight of a fish on the line, the quick push of the net chasing a turtle or sighting a deer at dusk, the wildlife that makes its home at Big Whitefish Lake is a intricate part of the special quality of BWL.

As a community our continued awareness of the importance of respecting the environment needed to support our wildlife is vital to their health and welfare.
